The Engineering Industries Export Council signed a cooperation protocol with the Feeding Industries Division of the Engineering Industries Chamber of the Federation of Industries, with the aim of creating export opportunities for the feeding industries sector, working to increase its exports during 2025, and introducing the sector to new export markets, most notably the African market.
The Engineering Industries Export Council, headed by Eng. Sherif El-Sayyad, said that the protocol comes within the framework of the state's trends to deepen local manufacturing and create a boom in the engineering exports sector in line with the production capabilities of the Egyptian industry.
Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the Engineering Industries Export Council, said that the feeding industries have witnessed significant development over the past years, which makes cooperation between the council and the division one of the most important pillars for increasing the sector's exports during 2025 and until 2030.
Mai Helmy explained that the protocol aims to support manufacturers in the feeding industries sector to develop production processes at all stages, which is reflected in the final product to be exported and targeted at foreign markets.
For his part, Tamer El Shafei, Head of the Feeding Industries Division at the Engineering Chamber, said that a large number of workshops and technical trainings are scheduled to be prepared at the highest level for companies and factories in the feeding industries sector during the coming period.
El Shafei pointed out that the protocol seeks to support companies and factories to participate in international exhibitions and forums, in order to showcase the efficiency of the Egyptian product and learn about global technology related to the industry in order to create a breakthrough in the performance of the feeding industries sector.
The signing of the protocol was witnessed by Eng. Raafat El Khangary, Member of the Board of Directors of the Export Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Proton, Chairman of the Board of Directors of General Motors, Chairman of the Board of Directors of El Nasr Automotive, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell Egypt, on the sidelines of the 9th Egypt Automotive Summit.
