Consumer prices in Bahrain fell by 0.4% year-on-year in June 2025, following a 1.0% drop in the previous month. This marked the third consecutive month of deflation, but the softest decline in the sequence, as prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages shrank for the eleventh consecutive month, though at the slowest pace since March (-3.6% vs -9% in May). Prices also dropped for housing (-1.5%, unchanged from the previous month) and furnishings (-0.1% vs -7.4%). Additionally, prices increased at a slower pace for transport (1.0% vs 2.5%), health (5.1% vs 6.09%), and communication (2.6% vs 3.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.9%, the first increase in four months and the fastest pace since June 2023, reversing a 0.5% decrease in the prior month.
