The Egyptian
Exchange (EGX) in cooperation with The British Egyptian Business
Association (BEBA), organized the first round table session titled “Your Platform
for Investment and Finance” through both physical and virtual participation via
technological communication means. The session held in the attendance of: Ms. Nevine
Mansour, Advisor to His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Ms.
Nadia Lamloum, CEO BEBA; as well as a group of business leaders and financial
markets experts.
Ayman Taha, Advisor to EGX Chairman, as well as EGX Promotion
and Business Development team, participated in the session. He presented several
key issues including: establishment and development of EGX, as well as its role
in supporting the national economy, and benefits of listing and the opportunities
it provides for companies’ growth and expansion. Besides the benefits and
importance of investment in the stock market, and the procedures and steps of listing.
The session witnessed significant interaction from attendees,
as the discussion was open and replies were given to all inquiries related to listing
rules and procedures, offering requirements, and the benefits provided for the companies.
In addition to reviewing number of success models of listed companies and their
ability to benefit from listing on EGX to enhance their growth and expansion
rates.
This event is within EGX’s strategy aiming to deepen
the market, and increase the base of listed companies, highlighting the diversified
financing alternatives that listing provides to support competitiveness of the Egyptian
economy.
EGX continues the series of promotional and
educational initiatives and events in cooperation with the various concerned
entities, enhancing role of the capital market as one of the fundamental
pillars to achieve sustainable economic growth.
