Element List Explanation
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the sales/ revenues during the current quarter compared to the same quarter of the last year is Revenue for the current quarter increased by 17.8% compared with the same quarter of the previous year driven by substantial volume growth. The topline growth was broad-based as domestic poultry sales grew by 15.2% and export sales to SAR 20.3 million driven by increased penetration into Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates markets through extended distributions.
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the net profit during the current quarter compared to the same quarter of the last year is Net loss reported for current quarter stands at SAR 45.2 million compared to a loss of SAR 5.2 million in the same quarter of the previous year. This resulted in a gross margin dilution from 18.7% in Q3’25 to 10.1% in the current quarter. This dilution is a net result of multiple adverse factors including the increase in the prices of key raw materials used in the poultry industry, driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, drop in fair value of Bio Assets, incremental provisions for expected credit loss due to heightened credit risk in market and higher selling & distribution expenses.
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the sales/ revenues during the current quarter compared to the previous one is Revenue for the current quarter decreased by 16.7% compared to an performance in Q2’26. This topline drop reflected the usual nature seasonal shift in the sales mix, with a higher contribution from frozen poultry, as well as softer prices due to severe in-market competition.
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the net profit (loss) during the current quarter compared to the previous one is The net loss for the current quarter stands at SAR 45.2 million, compared with SAR 10.9 million in the previous quarter. Summer conditions weighed on livestock performance, with higher mortality. These factors, together with a consistent increase in the prices of key raw materials used in the poultry industry vs. previous quarter contributed adversely to higher bird cost to grow.
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the sales/ revenues during the current period compared to the same period of the last year is Revenue for the nine-month period increased by 27.2% to SAR 1,272.4 million compared to the same period of the previous year. Domestic sales rose by 22.9%, while export sales reached SAR 68.0 million, with the largest increases recorded in Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, further strengthening the Company's regional presence.
The reason of the increase (decrease) in the net profit during the current period compared to the same period of the last year is The net loss for the nine-month period is reported at SAR 57.5 million, compared with SAR 39.2 million in the same period of the previous year, while Gross profit improved by SAR 40.7 million. The higher net loss during the period was primarily attributable to increased selling and distribution costs resulting from higher sales volumes, as well as higher operating costs. In addition, the comparative period benefited from non-recurring gains arising from the disposal of the transportation fleet, alongside insurance claims totalling SAR 20 million.
Despite the challenges at the net profit level, cash generation remained sustainable, with cash generated from operating activities reaching SAR 141.2 million.
