Mr. Rashed holds a Bachelors degree from Cairo University. He joined the Nile Bank in 1992, where he worked in the Finance department. 

In 1994, Mr. Rashed moved into the Capital Markets side of the industry. He began his experience as a floor broker with one of the first brokerage firms to be established in Egypt. He was responsible for the execution of all customer orders. He was a member of the team that executed the first two GDR issues coming out of Egypt: CIB and Suez Cement. 

Mr. Rashed was one of the founders of Inter-Capital Securities (Flemings CIIC) where he was an Executive Director. He participated in issuance of numerous IPOs, and was responsible for trading, operations and customer services. Mr. Rashed is one of the founders of Sigma Capital.
